University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston CURRICULUM: The MPH degree plan includes a core set of requirements, but can be tailored to meet individual student’s interests and career goals. Medical students earn the MPH as part of a five-year dual degree plan. Medical residents and fellows can complete the curriculum in four academic terms of full-time study or may opt to complete the degree over two or more years of part-time study. A single generalist, professional track is available. Degree requirements include:

Brigham Young University "During this two-year training program, all students in the program take 11-core courses designed to develop analytic skills and knowledge in key areas of public health including

Westminster College "The Westminster Public Health Program lays a solid foundation for public health practice in the twenty-first century. The Program focuses on developing knowledge and skills needed to be an effective member of the public health workforce. The Program educates professionals to promote and protect public health and safety through education, service, and the application of evidence-based science. University of Virginia "The program focuses on the competencies professionals need to address health and health care issues and includes a range of interdisciplinary courses on social behavioral health, health policy, program planning and evaluation, and environmental health, as well as epidemiology and biostatistics. Students complete a minimum of 42 credit hours of course work: at least 24 credit hours of core courses, 12 credit hours of approved courses in a track or concentration, a field placement in a community health setting, and the remaining credit hours in a elective courses from across the university."

Virginia Commonwealth University "The VCU MPH Program includes two tracks: Generalist and Epidemiology. The program has adopted the core competencies outlined by the Association for Schools of Public Health (ASPH) to apply to all tracks in the areas of Biostatistics, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Policy and Management, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Leadership. University of Wisconsin - La Crosse "The MPH-CHE program at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, and was the first MPH degree offered in the UW System."

University of Wisconsin - Madison "The Master of Public Health degree is a 42 credit program that can be completed full-time or part-time, as a stand alone degree, or as part of a dual degree. The program has also been designed to be completed at an accelerated pace over 12 months by allowing the transfer of up to 12 approved credits towards an MPH degree for dual degree candidates.
